WHAT IS A TITHE?
A tithe is the practice of giving 10% of your income back to God as an act of obedience, faith, and worship.
It is a biblical principle rooted in Malachi 3:10, where God calls His people to bring the whole tithe into His storehouse so that His work may continue and blessings may overflow.
Tithing helps support the ministry, sustain church operations, and advance God’s Kingdom on earth.
For more details, please visit our Tithe & Offering Page.
CAN I GIVE MY TITHE TO THE NEEDY OR A CHARITY INSTEAD?
No.
According to Scripture, the tithe belongs to God’s house. The Bible says in Malachi 3:10: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.” This means the tithe is to be brought into the local church where you worship, so that God’s work is provided for and the ministry is sustained.
However, you are free to give freewill offerings, gifts, and charitable donations to support the needy, charities, or other causes. These offerings are separate from the tithe and are also pleasing to God.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TITHE AND OFFERING?
The tithe is a fixed 10% of your income, given in obedience to God’s command as a form of worship and trust in His provision.
An offering, on the other hand, is any freewill gift you choose to give above and beyond your tithe. Offerings are often expressions of gratitude, love, or support for specific needs, projects, or ministries within the church and beyond.
In short:
Offering = Any amount (generosity and personal devotion)
Tithe = 10% (obedience and covenant responsibility)
WHAT IS THE FIRST FRUIT OFFERING?
The First Fruit offering is the practice of giving the first and best portion of your increase to God as an act of honor and thanksgiving.
This may include:
- The first salary you receive in a new year
- The profit from a new business breakthrough
- The first harvest from your farm or produce
- Increase or Promotion Top-Up
By presenting the First Fruit, you acknowledge God as your ultimate provider and invite His blessing upon the rest of your income and resources.
As the Bible says:
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” – Proverbs 3:9–10
HOW IS FIRST FRUIT DIFFERENT FROM TITHE?
The tithe is a recurring 10% of your income, given regularly (such as from every salary or profit) in obedience to God’s Word.
The First Fruit, however, is a special one-time offering given from the first increase or first result of your labor—for example, the first salary of the year, the first profit from a new business, or the first harvest from your farm.
Unlike the tithe, the First Fruit is not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged for believers who desire to honor God with their first and best, and to walk in deeper covenant blessings.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TITHE AND COVENANT GIVING?
The tithe is the biblical 10% of your income, given regularly as an act of obedience to God’s Word (Malachi 3:10). It is a covenant responsibility for every believer and ensures there is provision in God’s house.
Covenant giving, however, goes beyond the tithe. It is a special, faith-driven commitment made specifically toward church building, development, and infrastructure projects. Unlike the tithe, it is not tied to a fixed percentage, but rather to your personal faith and decision to partner with God in advancing His Kingdom.
CAN I ADJUST MY COVENANT COMMITMENT?
Yes, you can.
We understand that life circumstances may change, and flexibility is important. If you need to increase, reduce, pause, or resume your covenant pledge, simply notify the Covenant Builders Team.
What matters most is a willing and faithful heart, not pressure. Covenant giving is about honoring God in sincerity and commitment, not compulsion.
IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR JOINING THE COVENANT BUILDERS?
No, there isn’t.
You are welcome to join at any time, as covenant giving is an ongoing initiative. Every contribution—whether big or small—helps advance God’s work and makes a lasting difference.
That said, the earlier you join, the sooner you can begin walking in the blessings of covenant partnership with God and His house.
WHO CAN I TALK TO IF I NEED MORE GUIDANCE BEFORE COMMITTING?
You can reach out directly to the Covenant Builders Team for counseling, prayer, or answers to any questions you may have.
If you prefer, you can also send your inquiries or request for assistance via email at Who can I talk to if I need more guidance before committing?

CAN I DESIGNATE MY GIFT FOR A SPECIFIC MEN’S MINISTRY PROGRAM?
Yes, you can.
When giving, you may indicate the specific Men’s Ministry program you’d like to support—such as the annual retreat, mentorship initiatives, or outreach projects.
If no specific designation is made, your gift will be applied where it is most needed to strengthen and expand the impact of the Men’s Ministry.
HOW ELSE CAN I SUPPORT THE MEN’S MINISTRY WITHOUT GIVING MONEY?
You don’t have to give financially to make a meaningful impact. There are many other ways you can support the Men’s Ministry, such as:
- Volunteering Your Time – Help organize events, retreats, and programs.
- Sharing Your Skills – Offer mentorship, counseling, or professional expertise to equip other men.
- Praying Regularly – Stand with the ministry in prayer for growth, impact, and transformed lives.
- Spreading the Word – Invite friends, colleagues, and neighbors to Men’s Ministry programs.
- Serving in Teams – Join planning committees, hospitality, media, or outreach teams that help bring activities to life.
Every act of service is valuable. By giving your time, talents, and prayers, you play a vital role in building strong men of faith and advancing God’s Kingdom.
CAN ORGANIZATIONS OR GROUPS PARTNER WITH THE MEN’S MINISTRY?
Yes, absolutely.
We welcome corporate, group, or organizational partnerships to help strengthen and expand the impact of the Men’s Ministry. Partnerships can take the form of:
- Sponsorships for retreats, conferences, and mentorship programs
- Support for community impact projects and outreach initiatives
- Collaborations that promote leadership, discipleship, and service among men
Your organization’s involvement makes a lasting difference, helping us empower men to grow in faith and positively influence their families, workplaces, and communities.
