TITHE & OFFERING
We are truly grateful for your heart of generosity. Giving is more than a financial transaction—it’s a spiritual act of love, worship, and faith. Here, you’re not just donating; you’re making an eternal impact. Whether it’s a tithe, offering, or a special gift, your contribution helps build lives, transform communities, and spread the Gospel.
We invite you to explore the spiritual purpose behind giving and how your support fuels the mission of New Testimony Gospel Church.
The Foundation
God’s Word consistently teaches that giving is part of our worship and an expression of trust in Him. It honors the Lord as our Provider and deepens our faith.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:10
Tithing is the believer’s first step in honoring God with their resources. It is not a donation, but a return—giving back the 10% that already belongs to God. Through the tithe, we express trust, obedience, and reverence for the Lord. And what’s more, God attaches a unique promise to it: “Test Me…”—a divine invitation to experience His supernatural provision.

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Proverbs 3:9
Giving is not just about the amount; it’s about the order. God must be first, not last. “Firstfruits” symbolize the first portion of our increase—given to God before anything else. This kind of giving is a heart decision to honor God above all, showing that He holds the highest place in our lives.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Biblical giving flows from the heart, not from pressure. God wants our giving to be cheerful, intentional, and spirit-led. We are to decide what to give with prayerful purpose, not under compulsion. A cheerful giver is someone who understands the joy of partnering with God in His work.
Giving isn’t a burden—it’s a blessing. When we give, we partner with God in what He is doing in the church and in the world.

Overview
Tithing to God is giving a portion – one-tenth (10%) of one’s income or resources back to God. It is also a sense of expression of faith, obedience, and gratitude to God for His blessings.
Tithing serves multiple purposes; it supports the church’s mission, helps fund community services, and assists those in need. This is also a sense of spiritual discipline that fosters generosity, trust in God’s provision, and a sense of stewardship over God given resources.
Offering is a voluntary act of worship, giving back to God out of gratitude for His blessings. It supports the church’s work and reflects our love and trust in God’s provision. Through offering, we help spread God’s love and make a difference in the lives of others.

Why Pay Tithe & Give Offering?
Paying tithe and giving offering is a biblical principle rooted in gratitude and obedience to God. In Malachi 3:10, God commands us to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse,” promising to open the windows of heaven and pour out abundant blessings in return. Tithing, which means giving 10% of our income back to God, acknowledges that all we have comes from Him and reflects our trust in His provision.
Tithing is a spiritual discipline that strengthens our faith and keeps our hearts focused on God rather than material possessions. As Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.” By prioritizing giving, we make God the center of our financial life, and in doing so, we invite His blessings into every area of our lives—spiritual, personal, and financial.
Offering, on the other hand, is a voluntary gift given beyond the tithe, showing our love, generosity, and thankfulness to God. Offering allows us to give freely and sacrificially, blessing the church and helping those in need.
Tithe and offering supports the work of the church, funding ministries, outreach, and missions that extend God’s love to others. It’s not just an act of giving; it’s an act of worship that deepens our relationship with God and aligns us with His purpose. Through tithing, we participate in His kingdom work while experiencing His abundant provision and favor in our own lives.
